Best visited in spring, The West Coast is known for its wildflowers, bird watching, fishing, Fossil Park and one of the oldest Southern African Tribes, the San.
The spring wildflowers can be viewed and enjoyed throughout the West Coast and attracts visitors from around the world each year. This region has a number of different ecosystems offering bird watching, mountain, coastal, sandveld and estuarine habitats.
Learn more about the San tribe at the Khwa ttu Educational Centre, drive through the West Coast Nature Reserve and continue to visit Langebaan and Paternoster. These two seaside villages are considered to be the gems of the West Coast.
